The Integrated Sarcoma Research Program (iSARP) is a multidisciplinary, team-based research program led out of the University of Calgary, focused on cutting-edge research initiatives to improve treatment opportunities and outcomes for sarcoma patients. iSARP is a collaborative research program representing clinical and scientific expertise at the University of Calgary, the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute, the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health, the Tom Baker Cancer Centre (TBCC), and the new Calgary Cancer Centre. iSARP members include experts in clinical sarcoma care, surgical oncology, tumour banking, fundamental cancer biology, cancer immunology, genomics, precision oncology, and computational biology. iSARP seeks to harness advancements in new molecular technologies, immunotherapies, and precision medicine into novel sarcoma discoveries, genomics-informed treatments, and new clinical trials for sarcoma patients.
Your support will go towards advancing these iSARP priorities:
- Genetic sequencing and molecular profiling of high-risk sarcomas
- Precision oncology, which is the development of a program where the molecular fingerprint of profiled sarcomas can be used to guide medical therapies if needed
- Sarcoma immunotherapy
- Tumour biobanking
- Multi-centre clinical trials
- Patient and family outcomes
