We've surpassed the $50K minimum goal, thank you all! Donations are still welcome, allowing us to enhance the award. Let's keep Kim's spirit alive together. Thank you for your incredible support!
Since her diagnosis in 2021, Dr. Kimberley Nix continued her residency training in General Internal Medicine at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine, and pursued research as part of the Clinician Investigator Program (CIP).
In addition to raising awareness for sarcoma cancer research, it was Dr. Nix’s wish to ensure there will be future support for female physicians pursuing a research career, thus the Memorial Award is being established in honour of Dr. Kimberley Nix, and is being designed with the goals Kim provided. Kim expressed the desire to support trainees within CIP, with a particular focus on women's cardiovascular health research. The award is meant to be a reflection of the attributes Kim was known for as both a medical professional, and outstanding human-being, such as outstanding academic skills, dedication to advancing health research, humility and commitment to helping others.
Thank you so much for your consideration to donate. If you have any questions about making a donation, please contact the Cumming School of Medicine Fund Development Office at fdmed@ucalgary.ca.
