The 2026 Inspiring Business Leader Award, held annually and co-hosted by the Haskayne School of Business and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, celebrates inspiring and purpose-driven business leaders who create change and build a better community for our future. Join us on June 17th, 2026, at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre to celebrate our 2026 Inspiring Business Leader Award winner, the Hunter Family! The family will be recognized for their incredible leadership that has helped shape our city, and we will hear from Douglas Hunter, Derrick Hunter and Adam Hunter in an intergenerational fireside chat.
Proceeds from charitable donations via table and ticket sales from the event are directed towards the endowment of a scholarship, awarded annually to a selection of Haskayne students, as well as to support student memberships with the Jim Dewald Emerging Leaders Scholarship offered through the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.

You will receive a tax receipt for the charitable donation portion of your ticket price. Your tax receipt will be sent via email within 7-10 business days of your ticket purchase. Longer processing times may apply during periods of high volume.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be used to build an endowed fund. The University is responsible for the management of the Fund with the intent that enough income is generated to support the student award on an annual basis and to maintain the Fund’s real capital value, after inflation, in perpetuity.
